Photo from the Jonas Brothers concert in question (performing: Cake By the Ocean)
In August of 2019, my sister and I decided to purchase tickets to see the Jonas Brothers two days before the concert. We weren't familiar with the parking options at the venue they were performing at (Amalie Arena) but we were aware of how sold out the show was based on the venue map shown at buying.
While we were able to get to and from the concert without having to worry about parking or paying (shoutout to mom!), the initial concern of how parking would affect our experience (including how long it would take, where to go, etc.) was notable.
I began noticing how this concern affected other aspects of my day-to-day life as well, including the deciding of whether to walk or drive to campus due to not knowing how full specific parking lots or garages were. This ever-present hassle inspired me to look into just how prevalent this problem was to other people whose day-to-day activities both align and differ from mine & to get a sense of how this problem can play a role in people's livelihoods + to entities other than humans (such as the environment, animals, economy, etc.).
